I can not sign in to my Ubisoft Connect account from GamersGate, there is always a login error message

Sometimes Ubisoft needs a special invitation. Ubisoft Connect login error usually means that the default settings of your browser block the third party cookies. Be firm and stand your ground — explicitly allow Ubisoft website to set cookies and it will no longer be treated as a third party. You will be able to successfully log in and activate your game on Ubisoft Connect shortly afterwards.

To accept cookies just visit the official Ubisoft website and you'll be automatically prompted to accept cookies. Click "Ok" and that's it. Are they not offering you any cookies? Shame on them. Perhaps at some point you denied cookies while visiting the official Ubisoft website. To fix this you need to clear the cache in your browser so that the Ubisoft website can offer you to accept cookies again.

Sometimes browser settings are modified to automatically block all cookies. This guide will help you to tweak your browser settings so that it can accept third party cookies.

Google Chrome

1) Open Google Chrome, click the menu button (three vertical dots) in the top right corner and go to Settings.
2) Scroll down a bit and click Site Settings under the Privacy and Security section.
3) Go to the Cookies entry and uncheck “Block third-party cookies” and “Block all cookies”.
4) Restart the browser and try to activate the game again.

Mozilla Firefox

To turn on cookies in Firefox please do the following:

1) Click the menu button (three horizontal lines) in the top right corner and select Options.
2) Select the Privacy & Security panel. This is where you can view your cookies settings:

- If Standard is selected, this is the default setting and all cookies are enabled.
- If Strict is selected, either choose Standard or switch to Custom
- If Custom is selected, either uncheck Cookies (this will allow all cookies) or select the setting to only block cookies on websites you specify.

3) Close the page. Any changes you've made will automatically be saved.
4) Restart the browser and try to activate the game again.


To turn on cookies in Opera please do the following:

1) Go to Settings (Opera icon in the top left corner).
2) Click Advanced in the left sidebar, and click Privacy & security.
3) Under Privacy and security, click Site settings.
4) Click Cookies and site data
5) At the top, turn on "Allow sites to save and read cookie data (recommended)".
6) Restart the browser and try to activate the game again.
