Sai-Kyo’s Commemorative First Title

This is Sai-Kyo’s very first title, remembered for its simple controls and unexpected world setting. Its originality sparked widespread discussion and earned it the 1993 “Best Shooting Game Award” from several industry magazines.

Touhou Sengoku Kitan

A tale from the distant past, at the eastern edge of the world.

In this land, a vibrant town culture, advanced technology, and ancient sorcery coexisted in harmony, preserving a long era of peace.

That peace is shattered when the heretical cult Shinrakyo plots to overthrow the world by resurrecting an evil god. To complete their ritual, they kidnap Tsukihime, the Shogun’s daughter, as a sacrifice.

Six ace pilots, each driven by their own resolve, rise to the challenge.

Thus begins a breathtaking aerial battle!

Controls

8-Way Joystick

Used to move your aircraft.

A Button – Normal Shot

Fires the main weapon. After powering up, also fires a sub-weapon.

Power up in 4 stages by collecting P (Power-Up) items.

Hold the A button to charge, then release to fire a Super Shot.

B Button – Special Weapon

Acts as a bomb and emergency defensive weapon.
